Albon family search

Maggie McLaren has sent the following request:

I'm hoping to find information/distant relatives of the ALBON family who seem to have lived in Glemsford for at least a couple of centuries, from 1500-1700 and beyond.

If anyone wants to get in touch with Maggie, they can do so by adding a comment here or by emailing me and I will forward all material to Maggie.

I am related to the Gridley family of Essex/Suffolk. I am confused further back but I am certain of two William Gridley's (1785 and 1840)who were ferrymen in Burnham. John Gridley (1723) married Elizabeth Albon in 1841 and I am trying to confirm that their grandson William is my elder William so that I can piece it all together.
I can be contacted on sue@97brooks.freeserve.co.uk

Hi

I am also researching the Albon family of Glemsford. I have got back to Jacob and Anne in the 17th century but am now stuck. I can't find their marriage or his baptism. Also, more recently I have John Arbon 1730, and he married a Mary Walker who was from Rede. I can't find her either! :( nor the marriages of John's parents or his Albon grandparents! Hopeless huh?! anyone know anything about these guys?
