Browne Family
I am researching my JUDDE ancestry in and around Oxfordshire and Warwickshire especially around Banbury in the 16th & 17th Century.
I have a John JUDDE who married an Avis or Avies BROWNE on 22 November 1585 in Banbury.
The only baptism found to date is for an Avies Browne who was baptised on 6 August 1555 in Glemsford, the daughter of one Robti BROWNE.
Other research involving the son of John and Avies, one Anthony Judd (baptised on 1 January 1588 in Banbury), he married a Joane GEORGE (baptised 7 November 1591 in Fritwell) on 24 June 1612 in Banbury. Joane GEORGEs mother was one Katherine BROWNE baptised circa 1565 and could be a sister to Avies mentioned above.
If anyone has any information on any of these families JUDDE, BROWNE, or GEORGE, I would like to hear from you.
It may be that only BROWNE family of Glemsford may be found, but any early material or details would be appreciated.
